You Are Not Behind — You Are Healing

Healing isn’t a straight line. It’s a winding road filled with memories, emotions, lessons, and grace. For so many women—especially those who are walking with God—healing can feel like weakness. We’re taught to “keep it together,” to “be strong,” to smile when we’re breaking. But here’s the truth:

Healing does not mean not feeling.

To heal, you must feel. You must confront. You must let God walk with you through every layer of your pain.

And sis, that’s not weakness. That’s courage.

The Pressure to Be Over It

We live in a world that rushes healing. If it’s not fixed in 30 days, 3 therapy sessions, or 3 prayers—we start to question ourselves. We wonder if we’re broken or behind. But the process of healing is sacred. It’s slow. It’s holy. It’s between you and God.

You are not behind. You are becoming.

That pain you feel? It has purpose. That weight you carry? It’s not yours alone. God is not just a healer—He’s a Father. And like any loving father, He doesn’t just want you to be okay. He wants you to be whole.

Let the Feelings Come

Give yourself permission to:

- Cry without apologizing.

- Rest without guilt.

- Breathe without rushing.

- Feel without shame.

Jesus felt. He wept. He withdrew to quiet places. He grieved. And yet, He healed the world.

What Healing Looks Like

Healing might look like:

- Saying “no” for the first time

- Letting go of who you used to be

- Forgiving someone who won’t apologize

- Trusting God again with your heart

- Resting, even when the world says grind

You’re Becoming Whole

Healing is part of becoming. And becoming is part of God’s plan for you.

So today, don’t rush. Don’t hide. Don’t minimize your process. Lean in. Breathe. Cry if you need to. And remember this: God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He is restoring what was lost. And He’s rebuilding you better, softer, stronger.

You are not broken—you are becoming whole.

A Prayer for Healing

Father God,

Thank You for seeing me in my broken places. Thank You for never rushing my healing. Today, I lay my hurt, my heart, and my heaviness before You. Teach me to feel without shame. Remind me that my emotions are not enemies—they are signals pointing me to You.

Heal every wound I can name and every scar I’ve hidden. Restore my joy. Fill me with peace. Remind me that I am not behind—I am becoming. And You, Lord, are with me every step of the way.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
